This thoughtful prayer was written by RL in Year 2.
Reverend Andrew kindly wrote this prayer to encourage us through this time:
Prayer of Hope for the World
God of love and hope,
you made the world and care for all creation,
but the world feels strange right now.
The news is full of stories about Coronavirus.
Some people are worried that they might get ill.
Others are anxious for their family and friends.
Be with them and help them to find peace.
We pray for the doctors and nurses and scientists,
and all who are working to discover the right medicines
to help those who are ill.
Thank you that even in these anxious times,
you are with us.
Help us to put our trust in you and keep us safe.
Some children have also written prayers over the Easter break.
Thank you for what you went through for us at Easter time.
Please help everyone to be kind and think about others at this time of danger.
I hope that this ends soon.
TM, Year 3
Thank you for the flowers in spring and the food we get.
Thank you for Easter eggs and bunnies.
Thank you for all the people who help us and love us.
Thank you for Easter.
DM, Year 3
Thank you for staying with us and keeping us healthy
as we are all scared about the virus.
And thank you for the NHS for looking after us
and all the people going to work.
I am grateful for the people that work and all the food they produce.
LR, Year 5
Let us enjoy this time of year and be grateful for all the chocolate we get to eat. Please let us know that we can do things to help each other.
