Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Stanground St John's Church of England Primary School,
We are very proud of our school, which has firm foundations based on Christian values.  This ethos permeates everyday life and learning. We work very closely with other schools in our Trust, the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT), as well as the Diocese of Ely, and our local church, St John's.
We have very high expectations of all our children. We believe in providing a knowledge-rich curriculum to ensure our children leave us in Year 6 equipped with the learning they need to succeed in secondary education, academically and socially. We value, specify and sequence the knowledge our children receive across the curriculum as well as providing a very wide range of extra-curricular activities to give our children opportunities to develop their interests outside the school day.
We are a family school who value knowing our children and families well. Establishing safe and supportive environments and relationships is key to our vision. We work to develop strong partnerships with our parents and the community. We are very responsive to parents' needs and have recently improved our extended care provision to suit our parents.  We are fortunate to have a supportive, but challenging local governing body and an active and welcoming 'Friends Association'. With your support, we strive to ensure your children thrives.
The purpose of our website is to give you a better understanding of life within our school, providing details of the organisation and our broad and balanced curriculum.
If I can help you in any further matter, then do not hesitate to contact me. We look forward to meeting you and working together for the benefit of your child.
I do hope you and your child enjoy your time with us at St John’s Church of England Primary School.
