Our visit to the Baptist Church

Hello everyone,

We have had such a busy term so far and we just wanted to share a few of the things that we have been doing with you.

In R.E this term, Salisbury class have been focusing on 'Beginnings and Endings'. We have been learning all about different types of Baptisms and it has been very interesting. A few weeks ago we visited the local Baptist Church and found out that there are many differences between an Infant's baptism and a Believer's baptism. We had great fun finding out about a believer's baptist ceremony and were even able to go into the baptistry ourselves. It was very exciting and the children had great fun.

Sophie and Ryan enjoyed being tipped backwards as they would be if it was their own baptism. (There was no water in it at the time - don't worry!)

The children learnt about the Church as being a part of the whole community, it's used for a variety of purposes.

Here are some more photos from our afternoon out. I'm sure the children would love to share their experiences with you too.

Hope to see you all soon.
