Literacy:
In our Literacy work at the moment we are looking at planning and writing adventure stories. We are looking at the setting, the characters and how we can make our writing more interesting for the reader.
Our targets for Literacy are…
All children MUST be able to:
Always use capital letters and full stops in their sentences
Some children SHOULD be able to:
Punctuate sentences using question marks and exclamation marks.
A few children COULD be able to:
Punctuate their sentences using full stops, capital letters, commas, exclamation marks and question marks appropriately.
Numeracy:
In our numeracy work we are looking at multiplication using an empty number line and also the grid method to help us multiply larger numbers.
Our targets for Numeracy are…
All children MUST be able to:
To use an empty number line to multiply by a single digit number
Some children SHOULD be able to:
Multiply a 2 digit number by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 10 using the grid method.
A few children COULD be able to:
Multiply a 2 or 3 digit number by any single digit number.
