Meet the Teacher

My name is Mrs Burton and this will be the second year that I have taught Y2. I have been at this school for about 20 years so I am now meeting and teaching some of the children of parents whom I have taught! I find this aspect very interesting and rewarding... some of you may remember me as your teacher, but it's lovely to hear news from past students, so come and have a chat if you see me!

I live in Deeping St James and have two grown-up children, Vicky who is 28 and still living at home and a son, James, 25 who lives and works in London. My husband works in Peterborough for a firm that produces doughnuts - no free samples available! I have an old black labrador named Ben and three cats,Jed and Jay who are brothers and an older female cat called Tilly, who is their auntie.

When I do have some free time, I like swimming and do this at least once a week, walking and sewing and knitting. My subjects at college were needlework and cookery, so obviously cooking is also a passion, finished dishes being accompanied with a large glass of red wine! My husband and I also like gardening.
