Buddy Afternoons
At Stanground St Johns we are very lucky because not only do we have our Year Groups, Key Stages and Classes for our children to mix in… we also have out Buddy Groups and Buddy Families.
This is where children from Reception to Year 6 are mixed into new groups. This allows the children to meet new people, become more confident but also gives the older children in the school some extra responsibilities by looking after and out for younger pupils or new children.
The Buddy Groups last term met on a Wednesday afternoon and they completed fun activities linked to our creative curriculum topic which was ‘Who Got Here First!’
This term we will still have Buddy Afternoons but our activites will be linked back to our new topic "Splish, Splash, Splosh!" they are all going to be creative activities so I am very much looking forward to these sessions!!
In Miss Bell and Mrs Mitchell’s buddy group the children will be looking at the lifecycles of frogs, butterflies and chickens!
Keep checking back to see new photographs of what they have been up to!
